Sign In to PrTask — Secure Authentication Options

PrTask uses single sign-on (SSO) authentication through trusted identity providers to ensure your account security. You can sign in using your existing GitHub, Google, Microsoft Azure, or Okta account — no need to create a separate username and password for PrTask. This approach leverages the enterprise-grade security of these providers, including their two-factor authentication, suspicious login detection, and account recovery mechanisms, so your PrTask account benefits from the same protections you already have in place.

Authentication is required to access most features on PrTask because financial transactions and code contributions require verified identities. When you sign in for the first time, PrTask creates your account automatically and links it to your chosen identity provider. Developers can connect their GitHub accounts to streamline the pull request submission process, while clients benefit from verified identities that build trust in the marketplace. All authentication data is transmitted over encrypted connections and PrTask never stores your identity provider passwords.

For developers, signing in unlocks the ability to browse tasks, submit pull requests, earn bounties, and track your leaderboard ranking. For clients, authentication enables task creation, bounty funding, pull request review, and payment management. PrTask supports multiple connected accounts, so you can link your GitHub for code submissions and your Google account for general authentication. Visit the Settings page after signing in to manage your connected accounts, set up payment methods, and complete your KYC verification for bounty withdrawals.
